Ta Qali Parks Olive Trees donation.
Press release.
On January 19, Local Airsoft club MAAC Airsoft presented a number of olive trees to the Parks Administration Unit at the Ta' Qali National Park, to be planted in the public park.
This has been done with the help of the club members who have donated the trees as part of an ongoing commitment towards a better environment and help to upkeep the park public garden. The trees were provided with the help of Flower Power which also contributed to the initiative.
Presenting the trees on behalf of the club were MAAC Airsoft administrator Pierre Ferrante and MAAC Airsoft PRO Mario DeBono.
The trees were handed over to Therese Ellul, the Ta’ Qali Parks principal.
One of its policies is to contribute to the upkeep of the places where it organises its activities and to limit their impact on local flora and fauna. For this purpose, the group encourages the use of bio-degradable BBs during its activities, which do not litter the surrounding environment.
Mario DeBono called on the other local clubs and entities to do their bit to help in the upkeep of such places for the benefit of the general public whilst using them for their activities.
